Moving Checklists

We make it easy to move in or move out of your rental home

Let us take the pressure of moving off your plate.

Moving comes with a long list of responsibilities. Fortunately, we've helped countless tenants to move in and out of their properties, and we know what needs to happen to make everything goes as seamlessly as possible.

We've created the checklists below to answer some of the most common questions we hear from tenants. Read through the information on this page and if you still have questions, call to speak with a member of our management team: (443) 776-2191

Move-in Checklist

Congratulations on signing a lease with us! Start your relationship with us off on the right foot by taking care of the following:

First Month's Rent & Security Deposit
Your first month's rent and your security deposit are both due at the lease signing. Confirm the amounts with our team before the signing.

Move-in Date & Inspection
We'll schedule your move-in date and provide all details about your move-in inspection at the lease signing.

Utilities
You're responsible for keeping all of your utility accounts current throughout the duration of your stay. Please be sure to place the accounts for your rental home in your name promptly after signing your lease to avoid losing access.

Move-out Checklist

We're always sad to say goodbye to great tenants, but we wish you the best on your next journey in life. End your tenancy with us without any problems by keeping the details below in mind.

Notice of Intent to Vacate
You'll need to provide us with written notice of your intent to vacate your rental home, in accordance with the terms of your lease.

Property Condition
Before handing in the keys for your property, please return the property to rent-ready condition. Make sure to address the following:

Rental Cleaning: Start by decluttering and removing personal belongings. Dust surfaces, wipe down countertops, and clean appliances inside and out. Scrub bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, and showers. Vacuum and mop floors, paying attention to corners and baseboards. Clean windows, mirrors, and light fixtures. Don't forget to clean inside cabinets and closets.

Finally, take out the trash and perform a final walkthrough to ensure nothing is overlooked.

Landscaping & Outdoor Areas: If you typically take care of landscaping or outdoor upkeep, including mowing the lawn, keeping walkways clear of debris, etc., please be sure to handle these responsibilities once more before moving out of your rental.

Repairs: If any damage occurred during your stay, make every effort possible to repair these issues. This may include patching nail and screw holes, replacing broken glass, and ensuring all light bulbs are functional.

Security Deposit
We will return your security deposit after performing a final inspection of your rental. If we notice any unrepaired damage, we will schedule the necessary repairs and deduct the related expenses from your deposit. The remainder, minus any fees or unpaid balances on your account, will be returned to you with an itemized statement.

Please note, you cannot use your deposit to pay your final month's rent. Failure to pay your rent will result in adverse credit reporting, legal action, and late fees.
